Makaira by the Sea offers 2 wooden cottages set on hilltop overlooking the Somosomo Straits. The Grander cottage has a lounge area with ceramic tiles and master bedroom. The Marlin Cotage is open plan with bedroom / lounge and polished wooden floors. Both cottages are set in a beautiful plantation style gardens with panoramic views of the ocean and beach, a sun deck on the hills edge for relaxing and a massage hut. A steep driveway leads to the main road, across which is a pleasant white sandy beach backed by ancient tropical trees and with good snorkelling in the lagoon. The host from Hawaii is an expert fisherman and can take you on gamefishing trips or casting. Makaira put on a seafood buffet every Tuesday with polynesian dancing.
